Our dedicated Board of Directors guides and supports the Bahamian Cultural Group’s mission and vision. Comprised of passionate leaders from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds, our board ensures that BCG remains committed to cultural enrichment, community engagement, and organizational growth. Each director brings unique experiences and expertise, helping us to effectively champion the preservation and celebration of Bahamian culture throughout Indiana and the Midwest.

Founded to foster unity and cultural appreciation among Bahamians and friends of the Bahamas in the Midwest, BCG LLC serves as a hub for cultural exchange, education, and community building. Our dedicated team and growing membership passionately work towards enriching the local cultural landscape and promoting greater awareness of Bahamian heritage.

Kendrick Major

Kendrick Major was born and raised in Ridgeland Park West on New Providence Island in The Bahamas.

He attended Christ The King Anglican Church and graduated from Government High School (GHS). Pursuing higher education, Kendrick studied at Indiana State University and later at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1997, where he has successfully built a career as an entrepreneur and small business owner. Kendrick brings extensive experience, entrepreneurial spirit, and deep cultural ties to his role on the BCG Board.

Stephanie Sands

Stephanie Sands, affectionately known as "Sunny," was born and raised in Nassau, The Bahamas she grew up in Windsor Estates.

With deep family roots in Nassau and Abaco, she grew up in Windsor Estates and graduated from Aquinas College in 1979. Stephanie worked at The Perfume Shop and Beauty Spot on Bay Street from 1984 to 2012. An active member of the Anglican Church Women (ACW) at St. Margaret's Anglican Church in Nassau, Stephanie relocated to Indiana in 2014. In 2016, she was ordained as Chaplain of the Spanish American Association of Florida. Currently, Stephanie is self-employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), providing compassionate care to bed-bound patients.

Angello Wilmott, affectionately known as “Gello,” is a dedicated member of the BCG Board.

Angello Wilmott, affectionately known as “Gello,” is a dedicated member of the BCG (Bahamian Culture Group) Board. Born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas, Angello grew up deeply immersed in the vibrant communities of Sea Breeze and Fox Hill. He relocated to Indiana in 2022 and currently resides in the Indianapolis area, bringing his passion for Bahamian culture to the local community. Angello is an alumnus of St. Augustine’s College (SAC), class of 2015. He pursued higher education in the United States, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Saint John’s University in 2019, followed by a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from St. Cloud State University in 2021. Professionally, Angello excels as a finance expert and event planner, skillfully combining analytical expertise with creative event management to support and promote Bahamian culture through engaging community initiatives.

Norbert Elliott brings extensive leadership and experience to the BCG board; Retired from head coach at Purdue

Norbert Elliott, an esteemed member of the BCG (Bahamian Culture Group) Board, brings a distinguished legacy in athletics and leadership from his remarkable tenure at Purdue University. After dedicating six successful seasons as head coach of Purdue’s Track & Field and Cross Country programs, Elliott retired, concluding an impressive 12-year chapter with the university. Initially joining Purdue as an associate head coach in 2015, Elliott quickly established himself by guiding sprinters, hurdlers, horizontal jumpers, and relay teams. His promotion to head coach in 2018 marked a significant step forward, leading the program to notable accomplishments, including a Big Ten team championship in 2017 and the highest NCAA cross country team finish in nearly seven decades in 2019. Under his leadership, Purdue athletes earned numerous All-America honors and secured multiple top-10 individual national rankings. During Elliott’s final coaching season (2022-23), Purdue athletes achieved remarkable milestones, participating in both indoor and outdoor NCAA championships. Notably, the men's cross country team delivered its fifth top-five Big Ten finish within six years—a feat unmatched since 1950. The season was further distinguished by fifty top-10 performances in Purdue’s historical records, highlighted by the best pentathlon score since 1997, achieved by standout Bryanna Craig. Elliott’s teams also excelled academically, earning accolades such as the USTFCCCA All-Academic team honors, numerous Academic All-Big Ten awards, and Big Ten Distinguished Scholar recognitions. BCG is proud to have Norbert Elliott’s extensive expertise and leadership as part of our Board, enriching our community through his dedication and passion for excellence.

Lisa Eulin, a valued member of the BCG (Bahamian Culture Group) Board, proudly carries the unique title of "Honorary Bahamian," a heartfelt acknowledgment of her profound connection to The Bahamas through her late husband, Kenneth Eulin. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Lisa is an Army veteran and dedicated nurse, known for her unwavering commitment to service and care. Her husband, Kenneth, originally from The Bahamas, deeply instilled in Lisa a genuine love and appreciation for Bahamian culture, traditions, and people. Lisa continues to honor Kenneth's legacy by actively promoting cultural awareness and fostering community connections within the BCG and beyond.

Chet Morley, an esteemed member of the BCG (Bahamian Culture Group) Board, proudly represents his roots from Nassau, Bahamas, having spent his formative years in the culturally rich community of Fox Hill. His artistic journey includes several vibrant years as a dancer at the Lucayan Beach Casino in Freeport, where he honed his talents and deepened his passion for performing arts. Before moving to Indianapolis in 2021, Chet dedicated many years to professional service at the University of Pennsylvania, enriching his career with valuable experience and insights. Currently residing in Indianapolis, he continues to actively promote Bahamian culture, contributing his diverse expertise and enthusiasm to the community through his role with BCG.
