About Us
Founded to foster unity and cultural appreciation among Bahamians and friends of the Bahamas in the Midwest, BCG LLC serves as a hub for cultural exchange, education, and community building. Our dedicated team and growing membership passionately work towards enriching the local cultural landscape and promoting greater awareness of Bahamian heritage.
Mission / Vision
BCG Mission
Our mission statement is to preserve, celebrate and promote Bahamian cultural and heritage through education, resources and community engagement. We will strive to create a welcoming space where diverse voices are heard. Traditions are honored and new cultural narratives can be formed. Furthermore, we will create a hub for Bahamians in Indiana and the Midwest to get together consistently to network and build connections across communities.
BCG Vision
Our vision is to become a cultural, vibrant, and inclusive environment that provides resources for Bahamians as well as promotes Bahamian cultural awareness within Indiana and the Midwest.
BCG Funday
One of the major events of the BCG is called Bahamian Funday. This day celebrates Bahamian culture here in the Midwest. Provide a section for the following concerns: more activities for kids, inviting different backgrounds/countries, bar control, more food options, getting more people involved, donations, games, Junkanoo, and ambassadors.
